The following are locations I have in mind for various scenes in my short film.
My first location that comes to mind for the outdoor shots is Raby Mere, located on the Wirral. The location is pretty isolated with one road going past it. However the scenery with the lake and the farm houses will look ideal for this film and will compliment the idea of Norah opening up to the ornament.
For the opening shots, I thought Arrowe Park would be ideal with the forest background and the brook running through it would make for some nice visuals and ambience. The park itself is far away from main roads so it is unlikely that we would pick up sounds of traffic in the distance.
For the scene at the train station, I thought Port Sunlight’s station would be ideal since the station itself doesn’t look like a typical train station especially on Merseyside. The village itself is very Victorian looking and the station doesn’t look overly modern for the film, keeping with the countryside aesthetic I am going for.
